Lutheran Community Care SA/NT
Lutheran Community Care has existed for nearly 50 years. The organisation grew out of the vision of a small group of Lutheran women who were inspired to show Christ’s love and care in action. Today that vision has expanded to provide services on behalf of the Lutheran Church in South Australia and the Northern Territory, assisting the lives of nearly 19,000 people each year. Our dedicated team of 130 employees and over 500 volunteers provide support for community development, early learning and parent education, homelessness, family relationship and financial counselling and foster care services. Much of our work aims to address poverty and injustice to empower those in need to achieve their full potential. We continually strive to develop effective ways to respond to the needs of the communities we serve and embrace all peoples, regardless of language, culture, ethnicity or religion.
