The Country Fire Service Foundation provide financial assistance to CFS volunteer firefighters and their families who have suffered through death, injury, loss or damage of property while in the line of service. The CFS Foundation plays an important role to financially support volunteer firefighters and their families should they be killed or seriously injured in the line of their CFS duties. Whilst the CFS provides a wide range of support for our volunteers, the financial support sometimes takes longer than we would like assist our volunteers. It is for this reason the CFS Foundation was formed. The CFS Foundation’s core business is to provide quick and immediate financial support to volunteer firefighters and their families. The CFS Foundation receives no financial support from the CFS and all money raised comes from the good people of South Australia.
